Indeed, according to developer McCarthy Stone, demand is on the up and according to their research, 70% of over-65s are now considering moving to a bungalow; that’s a 10% increase in the past couple of years. Data from Rightmove backs this up, revealing that the price you’ll pay for a bungalow has increased 11% in 2021; far higher than the national average of 6%.  Why are bungalows so popular?
